Rome

WE ALL FALL DOWN

1453 AC

The Roman Empire didn’t end when the west part fell, there was still the eastern part of the empire. After the west fell, the east kept going strong with the powerful Byzantine Empire. Although we know it as the Byzantine Empire, they felt that it was still Roman. When Greek overpowered Latin, the Byzantines still thought of themselves as Roman. Then later, The Eastern Roman Empire, or Byzantium, was taken over by the Ottoman Empire in 1453. A lot of people in poverty were happy when Rome fell. They were dying from starvation while having to pay large taxes to Rome. But after the fall of Rome, many changes happened to Europe . Rome had a good srong government, education, and culture. Now a lot of Europe fell into barbarianism. The next 500 years afterwards were known as the Dark Ages of Europe.
